Giving Animals Voice Pilot Projects
Giving Animals Voice offers Pilot projects that provide free animal communication sessions to participating organizations.
Giving Animals Voice offers Pilot projects that provide free animal communication sessions to participating organizations, including shelters, rescues, and sanctuaries. These sessions allow staff and caregivers to gain deeper understanding of the animals in their care, supporting healing animals through communication and improving overall outcomes for the animals’ well-being.
Animal communication is the intuitive, two-way exchange of information between humans and animals on a telepathic level. Experienced volunteer animal communicators can connect with animals to understand their thoughts, emotions, and needs — and to share messages with them in return.
Because communication is telepathic, the animal does not need to be physically present. Giving Animals Voice sessions are conducted remotely via audio/video conferencing and recorded for staff use. Organizations select the animal and the questions or topics to be addressed. During the session, the communicator invites the animal to participate, addresses the questions, and verbally shares the information received. Staff may request clarifications or additional questions, and before closing, the communicator invites the animal to express anything else they’d like caregivers to know.
Organizations often request information to:
Reduce the animals’ stress while in car
Understand the animals’ preferences for their forever home, facilitating pet adoption and communication advice
Gain insights if an animal is returned, to create better matches next time
Identify reasons for reactivity or aggression to guide care decisions
Assess the animal’s body/health for comfort considerations (without diagnosing)
For example, Chance, a blind dog, shared suggestions to make him feel more comfortable in his kennel, which were then posted for volunteers. Similarly, Blackie, returned after adoption, provided feedback about his ideal home to help the organization match him better in the future.
Organizations also use sessions to reassure animals about shelter routines, prepare them for major changes like vet visits or transfers, and support adopt-friendly animal communication during meet-and-greets with potential adopters.
No. Giving Animals Voice and the communicators do not provide advice or treatment. Their role is to provide organizations with insights that would otherwise be inaccessible. Specifically, the communicator:
Asks the questions the organization wants aske
Conveys information the organization wants shared with the animals
Relates all insights received during the session
Benefits of Participating in Pilot Projects
Pilot projects allow organizations to explore how animal rehabilitation and communication can benefit animals while in care and serve as an innovative tool for caregivers. Feedback collected helps refine practices, improves animal welfare through communication, and contributes to broader animal welfare education and communication efforts.
Future Pilots
Giving Animals Voice plans to expand Pilots to more organizations, making it easier and more impactful to offer animal rescue outreach and communication sessions. Interested parties can apply as an animal communicator or join as an organization to partner with animal communicators.
